Facts about EGG!

Nowadays, a lot of things cannot eat in certain way. And egg is included now. That sucks, seriously, since I like eggs. Well, since its already proven and it makes quite some sense, I might as well let you guys know.

Here are the 5 ways of eating eggs that MUST be prevent from now on:
1) Raw egg
It is not recommended to consume the egg raw because you will also consume the bacteria in the eggs such as E.coli which will cause uncomfortable in stomach and vomit. Besides that, egg white contain Avidin that need high temperature to break it or else it will affect the absorption of food's biotin, causing loss of appetite, lack of strength, muscle pain, skin disease etc.

2) Overnight Egg
Actually, overnight eggs can be eaten provided that they're fully boiled. Half-boiled eggs, however, can't be eaten overnight. This is because it is extremely easy for the bacteria to invade if the egg isn't fully cooked/boiled. It will cause you to feel uncomfortable.

3) Overdose ( here i mean too much.. lol..)
Eggs contain high protein. Thus, too much consumption of eggs will cause the metabolites to increase and thus burdened the kidney.

4) Add sugar into eggs
Cooking the eggs and sugar together at high temperature will produce Glycosylated Lysine, which have the function of blood clotting. It will cause damage to body if consumed.

5) Consuming eggs with empty stomach
Consuming eggs with empty stomach will force the protein to convert into energy, causing it to fail its mission to give nutrients. Meanwhile, accumulation of protein will produce Urea during protein decomposition.

Well, that's all for now. Might update if I feel like it. =P

Drinking Water Helps ^^

Again, something from facebook. We all know that we must drink water everyday. Water is our body's principal chemical component and it makes up more than 60 percent of our weight. Every system in our body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired.

Maybe you don't realize it but we lose water through breath, perspiration, urination and bowel movement. So, to ensure that your body function properly, you'll need to constantly supply enough/sufficient water. According to the Institute of Medicine, Adequate Intake(AI) for men is approximately 3 liters wheres AI for women is approximately 2.2 liters. Perhaps everyone is familiar with the rule 8-by-8? It means drinking 8 8-ounce water per day. It has not much difference compared to the AI by the Institute of Medicine because 8 8-ounce of water is about 1.9 liters.

Drinking water daily is compulsory. However, drink it at a right time is even more efficient. Here's the timing for drinking 1 glass of water :
- After you wake up ( help activate the body organ )
- After taking bath ( help to lower blood pressure )
- Before sleep ( Help avoid stroke or heart attack at midnight )
Lastly, 2 glass of water half an hour before meal will help in your digestion.

Lack of water will lead 13 ailments (http://www.ourhomeremedies.com/natural-remedies/13-ailments-caused-by-lack-of-water/):

1. Fatigue, Energy Loss: Dehydration of the tissues causes enzymatic activity to slow down.
2. Premature Aging: The body of a newborn child is composed of 80 percent liquid, but this percentage declines to no more than 70 percent in an adult and continues to decline with age.
3. Excess Weight and Obesity: We may overeat because we crave foods rich in water. Thirst is often confused with hunger.
4. High and Low Blood Pressure: The body’s blood volume is not enough to completely fill the entire set of arteries, veins, and capillaries.
5. Cholesterol: When dehydration causes too much liquid to be drained from inside the cells, the body tries to stop this loss by producing more cholesterol.
6. Constipation: When chewed food enters the colon, it contains too much liquid to allow stools to form properly, and the wall of the colon reduces it. In chronic dehydration, the colon takes too much water to give to other parts of the body.
7. Digestive Disorders: In chronic dehydration, the secretion of digestive juices is less.
8. Gastritis, Stomach Ulcers: To protect its mucous membranes from being destroyed by the acidic digestive fluid it produces, the stomach secretes a layer of mucus.
9. Respiratory Troubles: The mucous membranes of the respiratory region are slightly moist to protect the respiratory tract from substances that might be present in inhaled air.
10. Acid-Alkaline Imbalance: Dehydration activates an enzymatic slowdown producing acidification.
11. Eczema: Your body needs enough moisture to sweat 20 to 24 ounces of water, the amount necessary to dilute toxins so they do not irritate the skin.
12. Cystitis, Urinary Infections: If toxins contained in urine are insufficiently diluted, they attack the urinary mucous membranes.
13. Rheumatism: Dehydration abnormally increases the concentration of toxins in the blood and cellular fluids, and the pains increase in proportion to the concentration of the toxins.
Although I drank a lot of water, I still got scared when I saw these symptoms. =.=" I wonder about those who drink about 520ml of water per day. How they take it? Lol.
That's all~ Drink more water ok? ^^v

Body Organ Working Schedule

9pm-11pm : Time for immune system detoxification. During these hours, you should just rest still or listen to music.

11pm-1am : Time for liver detoxification. You should be in deep sleep.

1am-3am : Gallbladder detoxification. You're suppose to be in deep sleep as well.

3am-5am : Lung detoxification. Those who cough will cough crazily during these hours because the detoxification has taken place until the lung. Thus you should not take medicine to stop the detoxification.

5am-7am : Large intestine detoxification. Best time for defecation.

7am-9am : Nutrition absorption by small intestine. You should take breakfast during these hours. Patients should take breakfast at 6.30am whereas normal people should take breakfast at 7.30am. Those who don't take breakfast, changed your lifestyle. Taking breakfast at 9am or 10am is better than nothing.

Midnite - 4am : Blood production by Spine. Must be in deep sleep.

These schedule are for your health's sake. Try to follow it as it will only help instead of harm you. Most people will say they have no time. However, I do believe that since your organs pick these time for detoxification, these are the time that YOU should be sleeping. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and live a better life. ^^

Something you must read ( for new university students)

Guys and gals, I got this long time ago from a website (forgotten where I got it, if you know, please inform me so that I can cite him. ^^). So, this thing tell you things that you must know as a new University students and I find it quite true after I gone through the first semester.

Of all the things, it all begins with preparing yourself for the coming challenge. For your information, life in University can be very relaxing and challenging depending on how you treat it. I've heard many seniors and aunty uncle said that:" Once you gone through STPM, U life will be very relaxing!" I found it quite true but not so true. Very contradict, I know. Haha. Here's what you should know:

1) You're responsible for your lifestyle.

After the 2 years of tough life in Form 6, the relaxing university life is what the new university students will look forward. If you can't discipline yourself well, you will be extremely indulgence. Trust me. You will. I know it. ^^
Here's what you should be aware:
- make sure you sleep and rest properly. Don't sleep too late as it will cost your health.
- be sure to workout daily or at least, weekly since you won't have much time due to the workload (assignments, homeworks, presentations, tests and etc)
- healthy lifestyle and keep away from smoking. A bit of alcohol might be ok, but avoid it if you can. ^^

2) Manage your wealth.

Entering Uni indicate that you're free from your parents' control if you're going to study overseas or quite far away from hometown. Thus, you'll have to learn how to control your expenses. Here's a list of things you should know:
- Ptptn is limited
- plan your expenses, think before you spend and avoid unnecessary expenses
- record every expenses even though it might be quite troublesome. This keep you aware of where your money gone.

3) Spoon feeding vs self-learning

Up till Form 6, we're the one that follow what the teacher teaches. The teachers will even use punishments if you don't listen. However, in Uni, the lecturer don't bother whether you listen or not. You have to learn yourself as they only teach the common stuffs. Usually, they only tell you the main points. Therefore, the teaching process will be very fast and you guys might not be able to catch up. Besides that, the homework and assignments will be piled up if you don't manage your time properly. Believe me, I just gone through that hectic period. Ughh~ Its terrible. You don't have time to sleep at all. Don't do this if you don't want that kind of life.

4) Expand your circles, make more friends

In uni, you're helpless if you're alone. You'll need your course mates to help you in things ranging from lectures to living. Besides that, the lifestyle of you and your room mates might differ a lot. Learn to tolerate. Its important. The wide range of friends might give you unexpected help in the future.

One last thing, lectures, assignments, marking and exams, all done by the same lecturers. Thus, maintaining a good relationship with the lecturers will give you an unexpected help in results.

Once you're in the university, you might behave like a bird out of the cage, being indulgence. You must learn to appreciate and use the good surrounding to learn what you should. 3-4 years will pass in a blink of eyes. Try to enjoy your life in University. ^^v~

2012 - Happy New Year ^^

Hi there, thanks for stopping by. ^^ I'm Jian Hong, and I'm just a regular human being with no outstanding achievement. You might waste your time reading this if you're a super outstanding human with piled up achievements. =P

What's up with this blog anyway? Honestly, I've tried blogging a few times (privately) but it failed because I'm simply writing diaries where I don't really want to share with people (I know that don't count as blogging, haha..). However, this time I've decided, I want to share things with people. I won't say that I'm knowledgeable, but I'll post up interesting and beneficial posts. I'm still unsure of what will those posts be but please look forward to it. ^^

Today is 2012 January 1st. This indicate that my first semester in University Malaysia Sabah is coming to an end. The ending of this semester taught me a lot of things. I feel like sharing them to all of you, especially those who will be entering University "soon".

That's all for this post. For the one that wonder how's life in University, try to follow, ok? Ask questions too. I'll try to answer them. ^^v chaos~
